Updated 15/11/21

We continue to monitor the Covid-19situation closely and our priority is the safety of all our participants.

Friends House is an accredited Covid-secure venue. https://www.friendshouse.co.uk/covid-19/

They have strict guidelines and clear signage, they have arranged public areas with social distancing in mind. Hand sanitiser is readily available at sanitising stations in high traffic areas which are subject to regular cleaning especially high touchpoint areas. Venue staff will wear PPE for selected tasks.

We strongly encourage everyone to do a lateral flow test for Covid-19 before travelling to the conference on the morning or the night before.

If you have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 we would politely ask you not to come to the conference.

Before travelling to the conference please consider whether you

  • have any COVID-19 symptoms, such as a new continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss or change in your sense of taste or smell
  • have had a positive test result,
  • have been asked to self-isolate,
  • or have been in contact with someone who has had a positive test result or symptoms

If any of these apply please do not travel to or attend the conference.

We are asking everyone, whether delegates, speakers, volunteers and stallholders to wear face masks inside the building at all times except while eating or drinking, unless you are not able to do so. Speakers on platforms may remove masks while speaking. We encourage social distancing where possible and please wash your hands or use hand sanitiser regularly. We may introduce one way systems in corridors to assist social distancing.

In meeting rooms to improve air flow, we will aim to leave the windows and doors open, where possible. The main plenaries will be in the main hall where there will be space to sit socially distanced. We may have to restrict access to particular workshops due to limited capacities to enable social distancing.

Please bring minimal possessions as we will not have a cloakroom.

If you are not able to attend the conference for one of the above reasons you can contact us for a ticket refund.

Further measures before and on the day may be introduced as regards Covid safety and to follow the latest government guidelines.
